Flourish and Fracture
Flourish and Fracture lives somewhere between growth and unraveling.
Twisting botanical forms move across the piece in layered shades of moss, olive, emerald, and translucent green, interrupted by unexpected blooms of cobalt blue, golden ochre, rust, and fiery red-orange. Fine black linework runs throughout, revealing tiny folds, veins, imperfections, and fragments that make the composition feel almost alive.
There is beauty here, but it isn't overly polished or delicate. Stems bend. Petals curl. Forms collide, separate, and begin again. The flowers seem to be simultaneously blooming and breaking apart.
That tension is what gives Flourish and Fracture its personality. It's botanical without feeling traditional, colorful without being overly sweet, and intricate enough that the piece changes depending on how closely you look.
Printed from my original artwork and created to preserve the translucent layers of color, expressive linework, organic edges, and intricate details of the original.
